As I said, for me the collection of traveling literature is more important than the routing itself.
And in Jena Fortune favoured me, because I found Frank McCourt´s Angela’s Ashes with Bookcrossing.
They placed more than 100 books in the city, as a kind of advertisement for the festival Kulturarena, which starts in a few days with Schiller´s Wilhelm Tell. I saw this play one time at the one and only place: in Switzerland and I´m going back there, soon.
The open-air festival is a mix of a huge theatre production, cinema and concerts. The slogan is bulky this year: Mittelmeer Frankreich, Israel, Spanien. Künstler von mittelweitweg (something like Mediterranean France, Israel, Spain. Artists from middle long way off) but the schedule looks quit interesting.
If you´re in the area, don´t miss it!
